Our Fist Chinchilla

She was given to us by a school friend & her husband when they were expecting there baby girl, as they had to make what was the chinchilla room into a nursery for when the baby was born.

She came to us at beginning of February 2004 and died on the 14th August 2006

She was a beautiful Black Velvet

She had a heart murmur and we beleive she died of diabetes

We also beleive she was around the age of 6 to 7 years old we are unsure exactly how old she was because she was bought from a pet shop

We did not know much about chinchillas when we took Joey on and so we have learnt a lot since then

She gave us a lot of love and happiness and we miss her,

she has inspired us to find out everything we can possibly know about chinchillas and made me want to breed them because they are such wonderful little creatures who deserve the very best we can offer.

Joey was a very special little girl and is always in our thoughts
